Statement

My artistic practice is rooted in glass as a sensuous and resistant material—simultaneously fluid and solid, fragile and forceful. I work through an investigative, bodily approach where intuition and the material’s physical constraints guide decision-making. My work explores experiences of overwhelm—physical, psychological, and collective—reflecting on contemporary excess in materials and information. I am interested in the point where abundance becomes too much and perception shifts into ambivalence. I consistently work with discarded glass fragments as active elements. These remnants carry traces of process, imperfection, and transformation, pointing to both personal and broader concerns of waste and unrealized potential. Tactile Table, selected for the Bienniale for Craft & Design 2025 (DKOD), reinterprets the traditional table setting through Venetian-inspired forms. Melted shards (residual materials) create a tactile language where excess, fragmentation and transformation coexist.
