GRASSIMESSE LEIPZIG
The GRASSIMESSE is an international forum and trade fair for applied arts and industrial design in all areas. The GRASSIMESSE, both forum and sales fair, reflects the variety and world of ideas within contemporary creative design, while promoting the development and awareness of design quality. The organizer is the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts Leipzig.

Terms of participation

Application: The call for tenders is international and open to artisans and designers in all fields. A jury of experts will select participants. Both individuals and groups (with a maximum of six people) can apply. In the event of group applications, the jury will decide on the individual submitted works.

You can apply online. Please register via bewerbung.grassimesse.de and follow the instructions. The requested documents are a short CV, a short introduction of the artistic work and up to five images of the artistic works. The images should be photographs (preferably professional) of the products and should represent the work intended for exhibition at the fair. The work should not be more than two years old and must be available for sale. Only printable digital images will be accepted. Please provide all the requested information in the upload area.

After confirmation of participation, the application documents and the images can be used by the organizer for advertising purposes in advance of the fair. Accordingly,
text and image rights must be free of third party rights. Image material is transferred for documentation purposes to the property of the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts. The Grassimesse thus receives a royalty-free, temporally and geographically unlimited, non-exclusive right to store, use, reproduce, distribute and make publicly available in modified or unchanged form on the Internet and via other media with naming of the author.

Costs: Participants will bear the costs for the trip, delivery and removal of objects, insurance, accommodation, and catering. After receiving the confirmation of participation, individual exhibitors are obligated to pay a participation fee of 300 € while groups must pay a fee of 500 € (all booths, however, are the same size). The fee includes a flat rate for the booth space, a share in the advertising costs, and a contribution to the website. The terms of participation are recognised with the written confirmation of participation; after this point, withdrawal is no longer possible.

Booth design: Within the framework of the GRASSIMESSE, the organizer offers the exhibitor the following services: an exhibition space (6–8 square meters) allocated
by the organizer, mandatory labelling for the booths, a basic supply of electricity and light, as well as seating accommodations. Depending on their availability, the organizer will provide show cases, pedestals ad other presentation elements. Attachments of objects of all kinds on the ceiling, walls and partition walls must be discussed with the organizer. The organizer places value on a uniform aesthetic appearance of the GRASSIMESSE. The participants or representatives of the firms or groups must be personally present at their booth.

Liability/security: As the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts is the organizer and host of the fair, visitor rules will apply for the duration of GRASSIMESSE. Perpetrating parties or persons are liable for damage to the building, inventory, and presentation tools provided by the museum. The exhibitor is responsible for the security of the booth. The organizer will not accept liability for the exhibiting booths, nor for material or personal damage due to negligence on behalf of exhibitors or their employees. An alarm system monitors the exhibition space after-hours.
