Statement

Homage
The beauty of butterflies, moths and horrors makes them sought-after collectibles. Held with needle, we find them in collector's display cases, preserved in the moment of dying and perfect beauty and vitality. Behind the glass, they are unapproachable.
My metallic fliers, leaning on praying mantis, moth or butterfly should be able to fly. This is not meant literally but rather metaphorically.
The construction plan of these metallic insects calls for a lightness we find in folded paper airplanes.
Vibrating, feather-hard rolled stainless steel supports magnificent, wing-like forms made of a wide variety of metals that vibrate at the slightest touch.
The solidified forms begin to "live," become approachable.
Not the morphology of insects is my starting point but the metamorphosis of technoid parts into insect-like pendants and the play with proportions, balance and materiality.
