My light objects consist in the basic body of peddigree and handmade mulberry paper, which is tear-resistant and moisture-resistant due to its long fibers. This framework carries a fine layer of tissue paper sheets that are pleated, cut and individually colored on one side twisted into shape. A handmade sheet is strung together by the hundreds to form an organic shape. The twisted tips have a life of their own, often pointing in different directions, which makes the object very lively and reminds some viewers of a living creature.
