I´m applying as a member of the group Swedish Material Makers, 5 artists working with international exhibitions and exchange programs within the contemporary craft field. Our group started 2011 with a Swedish-German exchange in Schleswig-Holstein and since then we have continued to exhibit together. http://www.swedishmaterialmakers.se I’m a jewellery artist and silversmith. My jewellery art begins in the joy and curiosity of every day materials and left overs that I come across. I use traditional craft in unexpected ways and deconstructs established status of materials. With an open mind I look at the fragments that I, for different reasons, have been drawn to. I start to combine an assemblage and put in certain sensations and keep myself attentive for when the unpredictable happens on the work bench, the clash of surprise. When it works it becomes a wearable piece of art. I am also currently working on bracelets where I use silversmithing methods to shape sculptural wearable objects.
