My work is driven by a deep fascination with wood, pushing the material to its limits, and a profound admiration for historical vessel traditions from Asia and Europe. I transform the unique structure of the tree into something with the tech-inspired appearance of 3D printing or carbon fibre laminate. Simultaneously, this precise aesthetic dissolves into the character of an ancient artifact—a witness to bygone eras. The tension between this precise, tech-inspired surface and the archaic nature of weathered, decaying material is the core of my artistic motivation.
