Statement

The circle fascinates me. Never ending, powerful and soft at the same time. Wood is my material of choice, a wonderful natural material, growing all around us. It has intrigued me since my education as a cabinet maker and is still very dear to me as I turn objects in wood. Most of my artworks are made from a single piece of wood, you could say the made object has grown like this in its life as a tree. The artwork is now an object in its own right and can co-exist in a new environment. The objects are personally made on the woodturning lathe.
