Statement

In my jewelry pieces I start from a construction idea. The way the individual elements are assembled into complex objects is the driving force of my approach. Filigree silver tubes are threaded onto a continuous thread of steel silk. Like drawing graphic lines, geometric body jewelry is created with minimalist means, linear outlined bodies with a spatial effect. What fascinates me here is the transition from the second to the third dimension. The line as the basic structure of this geometric approach creates volume and leads the objects from the surface into space. Paying attention to the space thus circumscribed and its immanent emptiness is an essential aspect of my design approach. The resulting pieces of jewelry are very light and mobile, they correspond with the body and enter into a symbiosis with the wearer through their transparency and flexibility.
