Lines, dots and planes wander across the surface of my ceramics - sometimes from the outside in, often across the base and edge. They join into patterns and ornaments, change color, fade, dissolve, and reassemble elsewhere. In my work, I emphasize playfulness and my enjoyment of the ceramic material. My objects show the enthusiasm that drives me when I cut up the previously intuitively patterned, colored clay slabs and freely assemble them into space-consuming unique vessels. Chance plays a crucial role in my work. In my studio I make vessel objects and small series according to my own ideas and designs. I combine traditional ceramic techniques with various printing processes. I find clay to be a simple and honest material. It is the source of manifold artistic possibilities. Again and again this material fascinates and inspires me anew. Working with clay offers me the greatest possible freedom.
