Statement

The Hamburg weaver, Andreas Möller, has left the old weaving craft behind and raised it to a new, contemporary standard. His work has been awarded with abundant state and design prizes. He teaches the construction of his FLYING8 looms and the refined use of them all over the world. In Ethiopia, India and Mali, former Flying8 students have founded weaving centers and are in turn training young people to become weavers Möller's latest works are especially soft, two-layer wool blankets and never-before-seen vessel objects, 3D woven and seamless.
