Statement

The accessory gives the outfit the final touch. Depending on the combination, it changes from accessory to main attraction, rounds off or sets the style direction. It is the playful part. My pieces decorate and dress at the same time, they serve the staging and the desire to present themselves.

I transform textiles and silver into accessories by combining goldsmithing with tailoring. My pieces are at the intersection of clothing to jewelry, balancing and connecting the two divisions.

Each piece in the Pleated Necklaces series is made from a strip of fabric that takes on its own shape through width, length and folding. The strength of the canvas gives the objects a sculptural character. They can be worn around the neck on a ribbon, and the connecting silver elements allow for size adjustability. The pieces are the focal point of both feminine and masculine read outfits.
