Statement

In my jewelry I pursue architecturally simple forms and an organic-looking design. However, these do not run side by side, but always find points of connection or are interwoven with each other.
The illustration of nature works for me namely through abstraction and abridgement. Therefore, I use the compositional rules of architecture: simplicity in construction, clarity of means, repetition of form. My work with paper and resin support this process: materials that are made of natural substances, but which I have to create myself in their final form of expression. By decomposing abstracted elements, independent and expressive open systems emerge in this way. Formal details and certain motifs are intended to create points of contact, but also antipoles and thereby build up an arc of tension. In this way, sculptural one-offs are created in the field of tension between archaic originality and morbid fragility.
