Lisa Reichmann

Statement

The main focus of my artistic work is in the medium of hand embroidery. I work with needle and thread, sit down and am in the here and now. With the needle I describe the forms I have imagined, the thread holds them in the fabric. I am still and waiting, I register every gesture of my body. I trace myself. The resulting works negotiate the themes of home, memories and longing.
