Statement

A bundle of parallel aligned finest lines creates the impression of a plane and divides the surface of the cylinder's circuit. These patterns are complex, like an optical illusion to the eye, but at the same time reassuringly simple because of the strict order. I would describe my works themselves as flat compositions of lines, although they are three-dimensional objects.
Technically, my background manifests itself in my work with filigree covering material, as used in craft-influenced book design, classical ceramic staining techniques, and the basic cylindrical shape of the vessels.
