Statement

The playful assembly of the bodies built as containers resembles the threading of beads with childlike energy and thus the thoughtless discovery of three-dimensionality, similar to playing with building blocks. Grasping and grasping is addressed in its most primal form. The narrative use of color appeals to the viewer in his childlike experience and a naive readiness for an unprejudiced look. Reduced to clearly comprehensible shapes, associations to a multifaceted recording of the environment and its constructs arise upon closer inspection. In our fast-moving society we are exposed to a constant overstimulation. In daily events, connected with a multitude of information, we often lose contact with the direct, the true and the concrete. Through the playful handling of body, limitation and envelope, encounters and contacts are reduced to simple basic principles. Further examination creates a deeper and sensitive space for new connections. The bodies resemble a seemingly easy to grasp world, surrounded by structures and colors. The subsequent willingness of a value-free unbiased investigation allows these clearly formed forms to become metaphors and pawns of our social structures.
